Won't stay again cold nights heat not working well!! Maybe better in summer. Beautiful view not worth the money!!!

We just returned from 3 days at the Surf Side; we normally go to Avon for 2 weeks in the summer but were headed east to a family reunion (Pamlico County); so took a "mini" vacation on the way from Norfolk airport....LOVED the place! Two balconies, clean, nice room. (Of course, beautiful weather. Should we stay in Nags Head again, we will return to Surf Side. (But we love AVON)... :)

We discovered this friendly hotel soon after Hurricane Isabel hit. It is always clean,has a great view of the ocean, good beach area, reasonable rates etc. Nice breakfast in the morning as well as wine in the afternoon. We will be going this Friday and it is our fifth time. We live close to OC MD and rather vacation in Outer Banks.

The Surfside HOTEL (new sign is up) is the ONLY place to stay if you are not in a cottage. Just watch out for the second floor rooms over the inside pool in the smaller of the two buildings....they sometimes smell like chlorine.....other than that all the rooms are fine!

We've stayed here many, many times over the years. Over time it has remained a good place to stay. Good location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable. Nice wine & cheese every evening and continental type breakfast mornings. Indoor and outdoor pools, beach view and access.

Our family has stayed here several times. Out of all the motels this is the most comfortable and cleanest. The staff is always friendly and there are nice indoor and outdoor pools. Good Location. Good Find.
