After reading several reviews I was a little nervous about vising this motel but upon arriving and checking in with my girlfriend I was definitely happy with the decision. Donna who is the new management and Sheriff in town has truly done wonders with the place. She is friendly and always working and not hard to find. We rented a unit with a kitchen and two full size beds and both my girlfriend and I were more than happy with the accommodations. The pool stayed clean and the beach was right across the street. The walk to the beach was less of a distance than some of the ocean front homes I have stayed in. The neighbors were friendly and no loud or obnoxious happenings during our stay. We did not want to leave and will most definitely be returning. For the money you cannot beat this motel. It is not a 5 star and if you are a drama queen or king then I suggest you might want to look elsewhere but we loved it and cannot wait to go back.

After reading some reviews I was a little anxious about my choice. Upon arrival I was greeted by Donna, the new manager. She was super friendly and check-in was easy. Booked an efficiency for 4 nights. The room was as expected. 2 double beds, kitchen, tv, bathroom with a shower only. It was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, just the basics. Public beach access is literally right across the street so the ocean was just a few steps away. The pool was immaculate. Everything in the room worked. Management was visible throughout my stay. Lots of families with small children on my side of the motel but noise was never an issue. Parking is tight but there was always a spot available directly outside my door. If you are looking for an affordable beach vacation where you can walk to the ocean and enjoy a pool I would highly recommend See Sea. You can't beat the rates. The only thing I would suggest is investing in wifi and new lounge chairs for the pool. Don't expect a 5 star hotel but DO expect a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. I would definitely return.

I have to admit that when I first starting go to the SeeSea 5 years ago..it was an adjustment... but if you look at it from the stand point that you are there to go the beach... and is only a resting spot.... what a terrific deal....

The price was right, but I do have to agree that this place was kinda of gross. When I first walked into my room, it smelled of mold. My refridgerator did not cool anything down, the freezer needed to be defrosted (I couldn't put a single thing in it!), and the stovetop didn't work! The whole reason I got a room with a kitchenette was so that I could cook during my week's stay.

What I *did* love was the pool and the peace and quiet during my vacation. I spent most of my time at the pool and nearly had it to myself the whole time!

Really with the 5 stars??? We stayed here because it was the only place with a vacancy and I read these reviews!! This place should be condemned! Old,run down,sticky sandy floors,thank God I brought my own linens! 1 night was all we could take! OH and a hot shower was a crap shoot!

I first stayed at the See Sea about 17 years ago. Returned several times since with family but hadn't stayed there again until this summer...how disappointing! Looks okay from the outside, but the rooms are run-down and dismal. Old, worn-out sheets, ripped chair...depressing.

I was looking for a cheap place to stay to enjoy my birthday weekend, The See Sea is a great value and the rooms are nice. The place is old but its clean. The customer service is excellent. I will definately be returning there later this year, this is going to be my new OBX spot. I love the quick access to the beach and its very central to the hot spots. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We, whoooo weeeeeeeee. We stayed at the SEESEA last year and guess what we are staying there again this year for memorial day weekend. The place is a little old but it is very clean and the people who run it are very friendly. I would recommend the SEESEA.

I was there a couple of years ago - kinda old, but very clean. The couple working there were busy cleaning every day. Pool was very nice. Price couldn't be beat. Lots of families there - close walk to the beach and some resturants - looking forward to going again late summer

I have been visiting the Outer Banks for 54 years, and every summer for the last 40 years we have stayed at the See Sea. I have made many friends and memories at the See Sea. The Motel has looked better back in the day, but you can't beat it for the price and I am so glad it is still standing! Kim and Kenny go out of their way to make your vacation a pleasant one. THANKS GUYS!!!

I stayed here for a weekend and had a great time. The staff here is friendly helpful and great people. I would recommend staying here. The room I was in was clean. The swimming pool is awesome here.

The See Sea Motel was a great place to visit. At first i was a little scared, but it place is nice and clean. And the service is very very good. There was a gentleman working there and I think his name was Wayne, and he was the most delightful young man that I have ever met in my life. I will return because of the great service.

WE WERE THERE FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND & HAD A BLAST. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AS WELL AS THE POOL AREA. THE COUPLE RUNNING IT WERE SUPER NICE & WANTED TO MAKE SURE WE WERE HAVING A GOOD TIME. CAN'T BEAT IT FOR THE MONEY. WE WERE IN THE 3 BEDROOM "APARTMENT", IT'S HUGE!!
