Sad story about my baby brother's dog. They were in Mexico over Christmas and next door neighbor was handling their dog.
Well, the neighbor called and said they couldn't find the dog. They have a doggie door at the back of their house and Trixie( named after Daddy's dog) zipped through it to potty, etc. and she was nowhere to be found. Turns out, she had fallen into their pool cover which had tons of water from recent rains and couldn't claw her way out of it. She drowned and the neighbor found her and called them in Mexico to advise. Of course, they all screamed crying at the death and baby bro told neighbor to handle it with the vet and ashes, etc. We all cried so much over this. She was a wonderful girl and always could be found on Halloween with a costume. Truly haunted all of us. Now, with a new dog, they have yet another fence around the pool to keep the new dog, Sapphire (blue eyes) away from the pool. All of us were just sick about the way she passed.
