Winds this morning at 6:30 were up to 32 in Frisco. Hoping Buxton can hang in there as tomorrow's weather looks much worse for them. The garbage can was blowing around in the street in front of the cottage after an early morning pick up. Had to run out and grab it.

It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is a fam fave! Constantly quoting lines from it! “He sailed right out there!”…… Sid Caesar is so funny and of course Jonathan Winters. “He’s nuts! He’s nuts! He’s really really nuts!” Another fave is The Out-of-Towners.

Stumpy: So, if I'm looking at this correctly, is the wind pushing the water away from the sound shore? I shot a video this morning of only the sound in Frisco, but did not walk around the corner to the street side directly in front of the house. Sound was not rising here and the wind direction (don't know the direction) was pushing the water away from shore. I should have walked around to the front of the house to have determined the real wind speed. But, it was early and raining and didn't want to get in the rain....

Tidelands Electric sent my a message at 10:53 a.m. that there will be a planned outage on Ocracoke for 45 minutes beginning at 11:30 a.m. "so Cape Hatteras Electric can make emergency transmission line repairs"

Power was only out about a half hour and a bit longer for Spectrum to come back on. Maybe salt water interference on lines???? I am not complaining....this is nothing at all compared to what is happening to the villages north and south of Frisco.
