Nights in Rodanthe Trip

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Awoke to a windy sunrise and the rain had stopped (just like the power yesterday.) The colors of the sky were dulled by the cloud cover a bit…

Yesterday we relaxed. I totally enjoyed cooking in perfectly equipped kitchen and chilled in the Primary King with great ocean views.
The waves and dune overwash were fascinating. The neighborhood next door has streams and ponding after the storm. Our parking lot is dry!

Fixed a big breakfast and squeezed the glass doors. The sun had burned off some clouds…

Plenty of Pelicans souring north…

Hopefully I’ll capture some good bird shots. It’s a bit shaky holding the windy camera…

Thanks Ms. Bent. Hope the sound didn’t come over your bulkhead with the wind…

It never even splashed over the bulkhead. It was much more of a beach front event vs a sound one here.

I really didn't realize that fact until Stumpy provided the surf chex links and figured out that rain was coming under the house from the front side this time. And the wind much worse there. Just a bit of water under the house...long gone now.

Thanks!

The afternoon turned drizzly with strong winds and big surf swell. We were content in the cozy condo.
We did a little shopping before the rain. Visited with Michael Halminski at his gallery. I’ve admired his work for many years and his gallery is a photographic wonder.
Glad to hear Rt 12 opened, hope the next rising tides don’t breach the dunes. People were pulling over waiting hours before the road opening….

Nice rise sitting on the deck with my coffee watching the sky turn blue as the rain started again…

This afternoon the sun came out and it was beautiful. Took a ride up to the Rodanthe Beach Access….

Beautiful pics, Miss Tilly. My favorite is the massive wave one with the "blue" water flowing out onto the shore. Really nice!

New camera of yours does a great job!
