@Bucki - Thank you. I'm having fun with the new i17 my sweet husband gave me.

So beautiful, Miss Tilly! Glorious pics and fun excursions. I love seeing these pics and what you guys are doing. Keep 'em coming!

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Awoke at sunrise to a thick cloud bank followed by a blowing sprinkle. Windy now headed to high tide. Sky has cleared a bit.
Our view looking north

Looks like the big Class A RV’s have moved on from Camp Hatters with a NE’str coming.
Looking SE…

And now it’s Monday’s’ only high tide…

LOVE the pancakes at NH Pier! And what a setting! We’ve had to run from our table bc of a big wave swamping it! So fun!

Here’s to another 50, tilly (there should be a pic of a glass of wine here but it just comes up as question marks!)
Cheers!

Thanks Lolly…

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Very nice!
I’ve never tried Sanctuary.
What do you recommend?

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Happy 50th! That’s quite an accomplishment.

We will be celebrating our 50th (God willing) in 2029. We are hoping to stay in the same ocean front house in SNH that we honeymooned in.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures!

LollyGirl

Congratulations!
Our honeymoon was actually at Bentmen's place back in 1998

Well like it, just not everyday prices I’d say.

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Thank you Alexy. That’s something special.
Rainy and windy here now…

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Today was so much fun! We met up with Mr. & Mrs. Bentmtn at Avon Pier for $1 PBR’s and enjoyed chatting about families and life on the banks. A finer couple would be hard to find.

On the trip back we stopped in Avon for emergency provisions of seafood at Sunrise Seafood and were happy to talk with Mark again.
Came home and cooked up an early dinner of his crabcakes, hush puppies and coleslaw. Relaxing now listening to 99.9 Radio Hatteras. Life is good…

Such very kind words, Miss Tilly! I was thrilled to meet you and your sweet husband. He is one witty fella! It was nice having the room all to ourselves and watching those big waves. You two are a class act and I enjoyed chatting.

The food looks delicious and you couldn't have chosen a better radio station. Life is good indeed and take care always. Happy 50th! Y'all are a beautiful couple.

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Tuesday morning with low visibility and rain so no horizon sunrise shot today. Winds NE 40mph, gusts 49mph. Good day for staying put and relaxing.
Stay safe y’all…..

Sheets of rain and whitecaps on the sound…

Avon Pier for $1 PBR’s

Ya know, you can take friends to Inn at Pam, the lighthouses, buxton munch, the point, watermans, etc....but drop by the Avon Pier and spend $20 on beer and that's what they most remember (the pier, not the crawl home ;) )

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Congrats on 50 years Tilly! You are blessed. What an awesome trip! Thanks for sharing. (;

You're right, OB. Give me a great view, fun people, and an ice cold beer. "Fancy schmancy" does not impress me at all.
