Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Hello from Rodanthe. My dear husband and I are here celebrating our 50th Anniversary. The drive down was easy and our first stop was at our daughters. She and her family took us to a lunch reservation at Blue Moon. The Grands had fun while we enjoyed our drinks out back. Lunch was delicious and I really loved the Swordfish and grits with broccoli in a bourbon brown sugar sauce.

Next we headed to our rental and loved it at first sight. Our ocean view…

Have a great day y’all…

Happy 50th! That’s quite an accomplishment.

We will be celebrating our 50th (God willing) in 2029. We are hoping to stay in the same ocean front house in SNH that we honeymooned in.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures!

Thank you Bentmtn. We had a great day. I took a fun e-bike ride up to Waves $General and picked up some stocking stuffers.

Thanks Lolly, sounds like a romantic plan for’29.
Gotta admit it’s special staying ocean front. We were reminiscing about past rentals including the KH flat top in ‘74 that went for $125 a week.

Spent a relaxing day knitting, biking and walking on the windy beach…

RE: Nights in Rodanthe Trip

Our son &DIL and their two dogs are in NH at a pet friendly motel and took us to sunset dinner at Waterman’s (always delicious.)…

Good night all…

You are so busy and athletic, Miss Tilly! How fun! Yep, I dig DG for those very reasons....find funny stuff for the grands and granddogs there! A ton of kid stuff without breaking the bank!

Loved tonight's pics!

This was our favorite area to stay in. We stayed at the two houses that are no longer there, plus the house just past the blue one in your picture. The house which would’ve been right beside the blue one that is no longer there was our favorite. Just amazing views from the whole home. Hot tub on the oceanfront deck. We stayed there probably 5 times. It was so nice to sit on the deck with the beach right below. Was especially easy for the walks on the beach. Down the steps right into the sand. Have alot of memories from that strip of homes there.

@pens - went down to Ocean Dr. today to see the darling little second row cottage I loved there. The road is about one lane cleared of sand with high dune piled on both sides. Driveways are cut open. Couldn’t see the house from the road. Just so sad for those folks.

Today was delightful. Blueberry pancakes at NH Pier House with our son…

Next stop a Bodie Light walk out to the observation deck. Boo, not a bird in sight…

Then I e-biked up around the circle to see Serendipity aka Inn on Pamlico Sound…
