Before Jerry, we got a Noreaster coming this weekend. Bill Big one, too...and the King Tides will still be up in the high 4's......ugh

Jerry's the least of our worries at this point. The coastal low that's coming up this weekend could be pretty bad.

We saw this on TV last night (YouTube) the reporter walked over and talked to them. The guy said that it was his grandmother's house, and he was trying to get some stuff out of it. At least that's what he said

Stumpy Great! Not! Thanks for the info, Stumpy! Heading back down to HI Friday. Gotta get in time in October since November is a Chicago month. Nor'easters are so messy and vicious. Maybe the roads will be okay to grab a one dollar ice cold PBR at the Avon Pier. (Only way I can drink one is ice cold and they are) That's always fun to watch the surf and pet the pier dog. Did it a couple of weeks ago.

Replete with paper towels stuffed in the window sill to keep out the salty breezes. Nice view and dog! I'm not knocking it. Very nice and nice folks there. So laid back...

Every report of this weekends Noreaster gets more ominous. Bill Yes, i’ve noticed that too. After all, it’s hurricane season and yet there is so much gloom forecast for this low/nor’easter scooting up the coast.

I took a video earlier in Frisco from under my house when the weather was starting to go bad, but things have ramped up here much more since 5:30-ish. Nothing like ocean front of course with those poor people... But, house is shaking now and wind a whistlin'! I also heard on Fox Weather that there is a chance of tornadic activity. Take care, OBX! Fingers crossed another home is not swallowed up by the Atlantic.

Wow, Bent! We got out early yesterday. Take care, everyone! LollyGirl Glad you got home okay, Lolly. I know that you hate that drive and rain on top of it doesn't help. Winds here out of the SW about 22 right now and just peeked over the top deck and no water under house thankfully. Pleasantly surprised though that things look okay this morning. The winds were pretty bad last night for awhile after midnight. We'll see what today brings...

As bad as this storm is, it is not tropical and won't have a name. Basically a Nor-Easter. I live sound side in KH and my concern is always sound side flooding. They are not calling for SS flooding north of the inlet so I'm happy.

As bad as this storm is, it is not tropical and won't have a name. Basically a Nor-Easter. I live sound side in KH and my concern is always sound side flooding. They are not calling for SS flooding north of the inlet so I'm happy. KHbiker Flooding is also our main concern. (also will we lose any of our 25 year old vinyl siding in the wind) We have been flooded twice. About 18" each time. The first left us with a solid sheet of 1/2" muck inside & outside. The second was surprisingly no muck just debris left behind when the water receded. Each event lasted 45+- minutes.
