Haven't seen a countdown on here for awhile. Anyone want to share in the excitement- of looking forward to your trip to the beach this year? 67 days to go for us! Coming to Corolla from Ohio. Have been coming to the OBX sporadically for 25 years. Now coming with grandkids.

First surf trip to the Lighthouse was 49 years ago. Lucky enough to still be surfing and still coming down whenever we like. So…..one day till the weekend! Cheers to all who love the Outer Banks!

We spent most of a week in Hatteras village last month. Next countdown is 32 days until Ocracoke! June trip isn't booked yet, but we're looking at the third week, that will also be Ocracoke.

22 days until I'll be in Southern Shores. I've been coming to the Outer Banks since 1954 and been staying in SS since 1970. My family would always come in July which I still do but since retiring I have added May and October visits. They all offer a different experience and I love it!

168 days until two weeks in Frisco, but I do have this to look forward to: Two weeks on Sugarloaf Key, Florida Keys, starting in 9 days! On the water, Kayak accessible RV site, with a pool bar/Restaurant on site. Free shuttle for the 20-minute ride to Key West. Just another swanky trailer park!

Daughter saving her vacation time and extra money for a wedding in 2026. I tried suggesting a destination wedding hint hint. But he has too many family and friends that want to be present. It’s gonna be in a barn. Her poor grandmother lol. She would say I got away from the farm and all my granddaughter wants to do is go back to a farm!

I’ve been to a couple of barn weddings that were spectacular! If I could go back I think that’s what I’d do. Unfortunately barn weddings weren’t a thing in 1979. BTW my grandmother would have probably said the same thing. She grew up on a dairy barn and got away to the city as soon as she could. She also wouldn’t drink milk the rest of her life lol!
