Trying to guide a child who is wandering off the tracks of sanity is what good fathers should do. If that child chooses to not see the light and criticize his father... welp, not much else can be done. Destiny is chosen, fate follows.

Maybe Elon will buy Rodanthe and then you can worry about something else off topic? He's very busy right now, but he's a multi-tasker.

To get things back on track- I saw that DOT was removing remaining sandbags from where the S curves were. Thinking out loud, there has been an inlet in that area historically (Loggerhead I think?) It seems possible to me that a cut would open up there. If that happens, that would alter the erosion pressures in Rodanthe proper- perhaps? The discussion about the impact of shoals offshore on erosion was really interesting.

Bolded (can you do that here?) the parts that are misinformation. Musk does not give most of his money away and he doesn't "keep it simple". He's also not a "genius certifiably". He was an average to below average student (easy to look up). Both of those have no bases in fact.

I pointed out that he didn't with one of them. Saying they are dead to him is a pretty sh*tty thing to say no matter the reason. He's also kept one of his ex wives from visiting one of the children. She complained about it on Twitter, but deleted it after an "agreement" was reached. Muck is many things, but loving family man he is not.

However, if five posters flag your starting post it will be deleted. You can't always blame the moderators when a bickering post goes away.

It was not Irene. It was Isabel in Sept 2003 that opened "Izzies Inlet" near Hatteras Village. Irene was in 2011 and produced strong sound side flooding. I had 3 feet of water in my garage from Irene. (KH Landing)

Not talking the Isabel breach - talking the Irene breach. Can't post pics for some weird reason but google Irene inlet - it formed almost at the Mirlo/Pea Island "boarder"

Changing gears - EZ and SPG - a thought, author a new thread in the politics thread - title it something like "P&R - not for the faint of heart" and have at it - discuss any and all issues...NO flagging allowed. You don't like the content? Too bad, grow a pair - jump in and argue your position or leave. Again, no flagging.

Been there, done that. In my opinion, the insults and name calling during those days is what drove many of the regular users away from this platform. There's even a Facebook page for many of the refugees from OBC and they're not coming back. Anybody that wants to start their own politics forum feel free to do so, but this is a beach message board. As Will stated many times: "There will be no national politics allowed here." I myself use X for any political bickering. Try it, you may like it.
