| Hey yall!
It's been a minute since I posted on the board and I didn't post daily on our trip as I normally do but here is a recap of our trip!
We were lucky enough to secure a beautiful home in Frisco for a two-week trip beginning the last week in April into the first week of May. We were visited by our kids (our son and his wife) and their dog (black pitt in my avatar) and family at different times over the course of the stay, We had probably the best weather we've ever had there for the entire two weeks! Warm in the sun, cool under a tent, not a cloud in the sky, no rain, no humidity, perfect amount of breeze, no bugs and no crowds!
We had the perfect amount of family time, time with friends and time with just hubby and me! We drove his Jeep (no doors and top) every day, we set up camp at the beach every day and enjoyed conversation, naps, grilling, walking, chilling, laughing and just being. We drove on Ramps 38, 43, 44, 48, 49 and 55 at different points during the week. Wow how the beaches change from year to year. 55 is HUGE at the very end now - like crazy how much beach is there!
We visited many of our regular haunts to include Pops, Diamond Shoals, Orange Blossom and Sonnys. We didn't really eat out or shop much as the weather was so insanely beautiful, we took advantage of every minute we could on the beach. Most days were spent on Ramp 49 as far South as we could go. We'd park right up against the fence and most days it felt like we were there alone with only a straggler or two walking past each day.
We return to Nags Head in September for the Jeep Invasion for a few days and I already cannot wait! Pics to follow....
