Looks good. Two courses of waterproof membrane is a good idea, or maybe that's part of the standard.

Looks good. Two courses of waterproof membrane is a good idea, or maybe that's part of the standard. Not standard. That is a specific requirement of the program. Thanks for the clarification. I had two courses put on my roof and up the eaves as well when it was replaced about 10 years ago. Cheap insurance for the cost of an extra roll or two.
..you did say "The Standard" didn't you? Yes, it is part of what is demanded by the program but not standard on the average inland home.
What company did you go with?
I have questions about this fortified roofing. My roof is over 20 years old so I know replacement of the roof is fast approaching. From what I read, it seems that you can get a discount on your homeowners insurance. I also read that this is a grant for up to $6000.00. The word grant has me confused, is this a loan? How does that work? Thank you
We participated in the program a few years ago and the $6000 grant check came within a few weeks after competition. It seems to be a well run program and I would encourage participation. Strengthen Your Roof program facts. Click to follow link...
Roofers finished at 3:30 today....just in the nick!!! Whew! I felt as if I was shelling in the yard today picking up little pieces of roof debris even though they got the big stuff and cleaned well. I just don't want it flowing in the storm surge to neighbors' yards.Very happy with the outcome of the roof!! I love the Pacific Wave shingle style I chose. Very New England- ish. Goes well with the white cedar shakes.Be careful, all!
Looks great. It takes a bit of hot sun to get them to seal tight. Fingers crossed!
