Just a funny story

Just a funny story

Last week I was at my Kitty Hawk office and when I passed by the lobby I noticed a car with a strange "thing" on the hood. There was a couple talking with a manager and I assumed it was their car I was looking at. Walking outside to see what it was on his hood I saw it was a claw hammer. Thinking this was a joke, and it was glued there, I moved it. I went back to the office they were in and asked if that was there car. They said yes and WHY do I ask. I explained the hammer and they looked at each other and said it must have been there since they left to come to our office. That was a 7 mile ride and they said it was left on the roof at their rental house.

How would you miss that sliding down the windshield. smiley with shades Luckily it didn't fall off the car.

That is dangerous as hell. I am certain that was an honest oversight, but what the ..., that could have killed someone! Glad it stayed in place!

About two months ago I was driving in traffic on the main highway through Lancaster when a hammer bounced out of the back of a contractor's truck. It bounced twice on the road and popped up to be dead center and eye level with my head. I thank the good lord it dropped in time and hit the very top of my truck's bumper below my grill instead of coming through my windshield. If I were one split second faster, I would not be here.

Gives me shivers just thinking about it.

I read a post and saw a picture online where a guy welded a pipe wrench to his bumper to keep people back from him on the road. I was wondering if this was that until it moved. Brand new too - see the price tag on the handle.
