Another OBX vehicle project,,

Boats, 4x4s, quads and now a fat tire Mini-bike upgrade!! I'm gonna go ahead and blame this little selfish expenditure on this cheap bottle of Trader Joes wine! I gotta get loose to pry that dusty ATM card out before I make a childish purchase like this. This is why I rarely drink alcohol. (;

RE: Another OBX vehicle project,,

At the end of the rental season after all the bills are paid I allow myself one little treat . Last year I bought myself a nice Steyer 9mm pistol that I had my eye on. This year it's a new Ducar 212 racing engine with Iron piston sleeves, die cast PVL aluminum fly-wheel rated to 17k RPMs, reinforced crank case, heavy duty valve springs, header, racing carb with enlarged jet, 3/4 drive shaft, etc, etc

It's going on this Coleman to replace the stock 196cc Hisun motor.

This is the Ducar

This is the stage one performance kit from Go power Sports that will be the upgrade for my Son's Coleman with upgraded intake, header, performance carb, governor delete and billet flywheel. He's about 40lbs lighter than me that's why we just upgraded his 196 and I got the 212.

We used to ride Yamaha 125's on sand and got out of control too many times. You're going along good and easy, then suddenly you hit soft sugar and lose steering control at 30-40mph without warning. Came close to going over the handle bars a few times which would have broken a collar bone easily.

Interesting project, my man! However, I must point out that the Trader Joe's wine in front of the Vermeer print of "The Milkmaid" is a finished project by itself. I think you're ahead of the game!

Well as you can probably imagine, this aint my first rodeo.....a big step down from a Husqvarna 250 back in the day.

Oh dear, it seems I have misplaced the cork to this bottle...

I'm sure you have. Just offering what I have experienced on sand.

I'm willing to bet those 125s were 2-strokes with real dirt bike frames too. These little things are 4 strokes with mini-bike frames and fat tires. I have a better chance of look'in silly than I do breaking a bone. lol

RE: Another OBX vehicle project,,

They were indeed 2-smokes, BF. Fun to ride, look for shells and drag driftwood back to the house with.

Never been on a fat tire bike but probably more stable than a dirt bike on sand.
