House fire on Currituck OBX early this morning

I headed up to Carova before dawn and driving north on NC 12, I saw a big house fire, might have been the Pine Island section, lots of emergency vehicles there and more fire trucks were racing in that direction from both north and south. I haven't seen any reports on the fire from local news sources. I drove by it around 5 a.m., so still dark, but could see flames above the roofline. Been thinking about that fire, and who was in the house, and the emergency workers who responded, all day. Has anyone heard anything? Then coming back down the beach around noontime, I passed what looked like a serious accident in the northbound lane involving a towed camper at the Kitty Hawk Road intersection, again, lots of emergency vehicles on scene. I sure was glad to get back home safe in Colington. I know Will doesn't monitor as he used to...but we need a Praying Hands emoji.

At least one went to the hospital from the camper wreck and several minor injuries. Driving seems as bad as ever and summer is not even here yet. And use this
