I was walking my dog on the beach last summer when a gentlemen walked up to me and asked if I had any extra poop bags. He explained to me that his dog had just done his business at home prior to their walk on the beach so he hadn't even consider bringing bags with him on his walk. I guess what I'm getting at is even you train them to go on command or they go prior to them getting to the beach, sometimes "$#it" happens and you can't always control when and where it happens...

We were on a large urban "turkey trot" several years ago (maybe15,000 people?) and we saw several doggie parents tying the filled poop bags to the doggie collars......... seems kinda undignified for the poor pooch, but I guess that is better than not cleaning up after your pet. I like the reply of the woman who says she carries a shoulder bag and a ziploc - that's a proud pooch mamma!
