They have a sign up. It looks like they will be opening the store in the next few months. It'll be interesting to see what their pay and benefits are. Anyone know how Target rates as an employer?

That is the question. The Dare Co. Board of Commissioners keeps trying to find some housing for employees in the area. Not just retail seasonal employees, but also teachers.

Where will they live? KHbiker Two possibilities. The growing population of those living at home with their parents. The senior generation homeowners in need of additional income.

Where will they live? KHbiker Where they're living now. With the exception of key management positions they aren't bringing people into the area, they're employing people who are already here, and with better employee benefits than most jobs. That's the niche they fill.

With the exception of key management positions they aren't bringing people into the area, they're employing people who are already here, and with better employee benefits than most jobs. It is usually the golden handcuffs big retailers offer like no or low cost health insurance that keep employees hanging on.

Where will they live? KHbiker The good business guys learned decades ago that they had to provide or at least arrange housing. Now with the county being run by fake conservatives, the trend seems to be to get the government/taxpayer to underwrite the bill. But I better be careful about getting political if I want to stay on this board. The free market solves so many problems.
