In keeping with the Irate Pirate theme, you need armaments to protect your fleet on the ICW. May I suggest you aquire a cannon?

Spent all morning digging out the rest of the rotted wood from up under the transom where the top engine mount bolts pass through. It's clean as a whistle. I cut a 1/2 X 6 X 19 inch length of 6061 aluminum plate to tuck up underneath and run the bolts through. The problem is 1/2 inch aint enough to fill that void in the upper lip. I need another 3/4 of an inch. I another 1/2 plate so I think I'm gonna spread a 1/4 inch of this Splash-Zone putty epoxy between the two plates, wait for it to set and drill out the bolt holes and the splash well. I have a feeling there will be a mallet involved getting it set up in there. The bottom plate was easy since there is only one piece of fiberglass to worry about.

You can get a better Idea of what needs to happen in this shot.

I can imagine the bug-eyed expressions from the passing skippers when they see you raise the Jolly Roger and light the fuse, lol.

Maybe a stack of washers between the plates at each mounting hole? Then there will be no worries about the epoxy getting compressed when you torque down the mounting bolts.

Everything you've done - the roof, shop and boat looks great.

Yes indeed. I picked up some big square washers this morning for just that purpose.
