I'd be interested in what's near the bottom of that list.

Surprised that Austin is that high.

I have travelled to Austin a lot for work having once worked for Dell. While I loved my time and the BBQ there, it never dawned on me to vacation there.

Great Wolf Lodge is a curious one also since it's a chain and is all over the place.

We went to bora bora a few years ago. It should be #1! smiley

Ditto. I worked for Dell as well for 4 years after they bought the company I work for and then we parted ways. Austin is a great place and seems like a decent place to live, but a destination??? I need to spend more time there apparently. My company is basically relocating there though like many tech firms.

Covid kept me away from OBX last year. This year it will be the crowds. Sigh......

It is already packed here. Hatteras, Buxton and Avon have been hopping all week.

I think Austin has a pretty good music vibe going on these days. Sorta like the Nashville of Texas?

Funny you should say that. I read an article two weeks ago that predicted just that. It seems that so many people are shopping via the internet now, it has caused a wood pulp shortage. Cardboard box companies, and TP companies are in competition for the same product. Buy bulk.

I'm a witness that it's already busy Easter week. We were on the beach too. Plus they have a bike week coming up later in later April ..motorcycles.

@bill and @Mstaszew what years were you guys in RR?

Sort of makes these lists a bit hard to believe.

RE: As we are aware...Outer Banks is a hot destination

I'm sure the revenuers are happy about that. The full time residents, probably not so much. OMG smiley

Being from Ohio, you’re not wrong.

But it’s more of a one day/weekend trip than an entire vacation.

RE: As we are aware...Outer Banks is a hot destination

Covid did not keep me from OBX last August and will return this August. Been going to OBX with family and myself/friends since 1959. Not even hurricanes in the early 80's and 90's (before they made you leave!). Daughter is getting married next July in OBX, so two trips next year! Everyone enjoy and even when the Banks are "hopping" no comparison to the crowded beaches in Maryland, i.e., OC (haven't been there since the 80's). smiley with shades

Never lived there either, but worked for Dell Boomi from 2017-2019, made quarterly trips to RR.

I get Disney and OBX but I find Yellowstone by twice as much an odd choice. Any chance those answering mean Yellowstone with Kevin Costner vs the National State Park. Wink smiley

Agree, very confusing that a chain is in the list instead of a specific place. WHICH Great Wolf??

True. I grew up 45 minutes east of CP and worked there in the mid 70s. It’s all about the roller coasters for me. Went to Disney World once while on an extended work assignment in the Orlando area. Highly disappointed. Getting my CP roller coaster fix late August this year.

We went to Yellowstone in the summer of 2019 and it was really crowded, depending on where you were.
