RE: Covid-19 dare county update

Yeah its happening all over! Really scary no matter where you are. Just have to continue to isolate as much as possible.We/re sticking close to home. My major issue right now is trying to get a covid test .It makes me crazy that its so hard to find a local testing site. We should be able to get a test when we want one. We are helping take care of my 96 year old father-in-law. All of us involved are trying to get tested to be sure we're OK. It is not easy Stay safe everyone!

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

We separate now,
So when we gather again,
No one is missing

Stay safe out there.

Any CVS or Walgreens should be able to test you in 24-48 hours. I've been tested five times over the last 6 months for my job

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

Geez. I guess it's time to banish all of the NRPO's. The sheriffs are on their way to the bridges right now...

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

I have a crazy thought, maybe more people have/had it all along and just were not getting tested because they were asymptomatic until cold and flu season returned. Now all of the sudden we all get tested when our nose is running. I know it's out there and a serious issue, but it is not a coincidence that where I live they are setting daily records of cases at the same time they are testing at daily records.

Yeah. That action save everyone. What a farce that turned out to be.

In a world full of uncertainty lately, that's at least one thing we know for certain can't happen.

It's not much, but...

On Sunday stopped at a local Walgreens and they were doing drive up COVID testing. Over 75 cars in line when I pulled into the parking lot.

Ugh. Going back to our house Friday for a few weeks. This makes me want to bring all our food in a cooler to minimize going even to the grocery stores there! We are not in the red in VA where I am.

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

Pa just enacted out of state visits. Must quarantine or have a negative test 72 hours before you arrive.

Delaware just rolled back restaurants to 30% capacity

Not really. Not every CVS or Rite Aid are doing testing and for those who are you have to have symptoms along with an order from your doc. I have an e-mail request at UPMC to see if they can do it. We have no symptoms thankfully but so frustrated that I can't get testing. I did write a nastygram to the Sec of Health just so they know I can't get a test. So when you hear you can get a test when you need it - that is not always the case.

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

I wonder if Dare County will start enforcing mask rules now?

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

" I did write a nastygram to the Sec of Health " Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Let us know how that goes! ...So over them in Harrisburg!

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

10 pm to 5 am curfew for the next 21 days here in Ohio

Love how the entire state is held to the same standards, like Philly and Tioga County are anyway related.

PLEASE. No. there is no "curfew" in Ohio.

The Governor requires businesses to close between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am.

The bars in Ohio are not capable of self-policing. Unable to regulate the late-night drunkards, Ohio is helping them to find their way back to the motels. I have been hearing quite a few squad runs to the local dumps carrying that late night crowd to their ventilators.

No, there is no "curfew" in Ohio. Jeeezzzzeee!

All I can say is that is not the case around the SE part of the state. You can go online and sign up, no doctors note needed

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

We've just had our 4th positive at work this week. Not looking good. We're following all the guidelines and are even doing more, but you can't control what/where someone goes after work. So far no cases of it spreading in work. I know that a couple of the people who are positive did everything they could to prevent it both at work and home, but still got it.

I have to apologize. The Ohio Governor, not having the crotch that can support the weight that would allow him to do something that might help, has issued a new press release. In that release, businesses CAN STAY OPEN. People cannot be out and go to those businesses.

Friggin' moron is afraid of closing businesses while ... closing businesses because he took all their customers.

Like I said, not having the crotch to support the weight that would allow him the fortitude ....

Owner of my company and his wife tested positive over the weekend. Hopefully I was far enough away from him last week, getting tested tomorrow

Seems like the virus goes to sleep at 5 am and wakes up around 10 pm !
I agree the guv doesn't get it, but not for the reasons your implying. Open everything up and let the 'herd immunity" become reality!

RE: Covid-19 dare county update

On a more technical note...being designated as being in the “Red Zone” means at least 25 cases per 100,000. In the case of Dare County it’s 30 cases/100k.

My comment is that there are just over 37,000 residents in Dare County so is the actual case rate only about 11 people (37,000/100,000*30)??

Just trying to keep this in perspective.
