Another windy day

Was going to go for a ride in the 4x4 area but decided against it with the high surf.

New map out Monday. Hang on!! Forecast 53mph winds on Friday on the Outer Banks. Looks like a big coastal event from NC on up northwards, will it be a named storm or a nor’easter?

RE: Another windy day

I can probably think of a name or two for a storm shaped like that. OMG smiley Embaressed smiley

Wow - I just looked at the camera in Corolla - looks like there will be no travel on the beach today - water is almost all the way to the dune. Hope no one needs to travel for bread or milk.

Tuesday’s NOAA disturbance spot map.

Thursday looks to be the worst for coastal areas. Ocracoke is having overwash at their breach on 12 with Jarvis Towing doing the escort service thru there now. Swan Quarter ferry to Ocracoke is horrendously choppy today. Wouldn’t be surprised if it gets suspended soon.

Nan and I are in Corolla for the week. I e-mailed something to a friend and he asked how the weather was. He's in MA and also has a place on Nantucket that he bought half of from his parents. He said they're getting it pretty good from this nor'easter.

Nantucket is the island off Cape Cod that's a lot farther out than Martha's Vineyard.

Wind gusts 50 mph according to the 3-day history: Click to follow link...

Sunday, October 20th is the forecast for the Outer Banks to feel “Nestor.”
