Rodanthe Ice Cream Truck?

Hello, we are vacationing in Rodanthe this week and in years past there has always been an ice cream truck that came around every day. No sign of any this year. We live in the country so the ice cream truck is a real highlight for my daughter every year. Have they stopped doing it?

Oh and one other question, where can I get some firewood? I don’t remember seeing any at the stores nearby.

Can't help with he ice cream truck. But we were down there last week and they had an open fire restriction. That may be why you did not see any wood for sale.

Burning ban has been lifted.

We also enjoyed the ice cream truck last year at first, but after 2 weeks of Christmas music blaring up til 9:00 PM, we began to hate it.

Don’t any of the convenience/grocery stores carry it in the tri-villages?
I’ve always found it at the Food Lion and Ace in Avon if you have time go that far.

We have been coming to Rodanthe/Tri-villages area in mid-June for about 20 years now and we have noticed the ice cream trucks to be hit or miss. Some years they come everyday, some years a couple times a week, some years not at all - also a highlight for the "kids" in our group (most of whom are 20+ years old now). Theeth smiley

Was there Memorial week and never saw or heard the ice cream truck. I did enjoy walking down the beach to the Rodanthe Pier for an ice cream treat from the cooler in the shop. If you don't have a pier pass no problem, just relax on their large deck and enjoy the views and maybe some live music. Have fun.

Liberty should have some - just, please, remember dig your fire pit at (or eastward) of the high tide line (assume you are building your fire ocean side). Tides should be cooperative this week. And, be extra mindful if an onshore breeze.

Oh, don't forget a permit - get it on line and save it as a pic to your phone - easier to present, if you are asked

Oh, and lastly - please make sure its fully out - my pup thanks you!

Firewood in the Tri can be found at :

North Beach Campground Store - go to the right once you enter

Blue Whale - a ton in front of the store

Fishing Hole - Same

And the IC Truck is around, but not as frequent..
