OBX Shells

OBX Shells

I finally finished putting some of my beach finds from last summer in a container for display. Everything was found on the beach around mp 4.5 in Kitty Hawk. It was a fun way to extend the last vacation while looking forward to the next vacation.

Very cool ! Nice finds. Makes me anxious for warm weather, sun, sand, and cold Beer

RE: OBX Shells

Great way to display the shells Fred.

My parents have two identical large table lamps full of shells all found on Hatteras. They have one in Salvo and the other in PA. They provide great memories every time the lights are turned on.

Thanks for sharing.

What great treasures you found!

RE: OBX Shells

Love it! I started my own last year! I'm sea glass and shell challenged but I'm going to get it full!

RE: OBX Shells

That explains why I can never find really great shells down there - they're already up here, in a big jar in Fredneck!

RE: OBX Shells

OOO OOO I want that piece of blue glass!! Nice collection & a good way to display them in that big jar.

RE: OBX Shells

I see a piece of rare blue “beach glass” and a fulgerite! Very nice display beach combing memories. ??

RE: OBX Shells

Very pretty - and I spy a sand dollar in there! Found one once down here many years ago...never Sad smiley have I found seagrass, though I have to admit that I usually am not a shell seeker. (Though I may well become one now. Wink smiley )

Very nice I usually choose a certain type or color to collect each year. I've done all white, purple shell pieces, black shells, or complete, unbroken ones. One year I did only large shells. As you may imagine I have them all over the house. This container is great because it will not collect dust. You did a great job arranging too!
