Yes. It will work. But that is not a right way. Do it like this. Take your one time meal and divide into four and drink water as much you can. It will increase your metabolism and keep you fit. Work hard but in a smart way.

Having meal once in a day won't help you to lose weight. In fact this will make you weak. Try to eat health food and do lot of exercise.

I have heard that drinking 3 to 4 ozs of pickle juice a couple time a day will help to lose weight.

Good advise. I lost 52lbs about a year and half ago eating this way and I still do. 5 small meals a day, a piece of fruit fo two of those. No more processed or fast food, no sugar or pickle juice smiley and 96oz of water every day. I also do Planet Fitness 4 times a week and am keeping the weight off. I'm 59 and feel better than I did at 29!

So how long did it take you to lose the 52 lbs. and what would you call a small meal, thanks.

It took a little over 5 months. I was losing 2-3lbs a week but I was at the gym every other day and doing a boot camp workout class two nights a week.

Breakfast would be one egg or 1 oz mozzarella cheese and an apple, a protein bar and piece of fruit for a mid morning snack, spinach and 4 oz cooked chicken breast salad with a vinaigrette dressing and low carb whole wheat tortilla for lunch. Another piece of fruit at 3pm and then dinner 4oz of chicken or lean meat, two veggies, a starch and dairy. That's just an example but I was eating right around 1200 calories a day plus 96 oz of water every day.

You do of course vary what protein, starch and vegetables you eat to keep from getting bored with the diet. It works if you don't cheat but old eating habits are hard to break.

I completely gave up processed and fast foods, refined sugar and empty carbs. I was taking the beginners type II diabetes med back then and now I don't need to.

Great job on the losing part. Clapping smiley Have been able to keep it off? If so are you eating more normal or still calorie restricted?

Thanks. Yes keeping it off for the most part. Holidays and great Michigan craft beers add about 5 lbs. to my bod this time of the year but it's ok by me! I'm eating the same way and same types of food during the week but upped portion size.

And I'm still hitting the gym 3 or 4 days a week. Planet Fitness is cheap and nice place to workout.

Matter of fact I had my yearly physical earlier in the week and my bloodwork was normal all around (knock on wood). Cholesterol level was 150. Last time it was that low was when I was 27 years old..lol

i could benefit from losing around 10 lb, accumulated over the holidays and general winter slowdown. Best advice i ever heard is to exercise by pushing away from the dinner table!

NSNG Bob...No Sugar, No Grains. Stay away from those two while eating protein and a moderate amount of fat. Weight will drop right off and you won't really feel more hungry. Weight loss is not entirely calorie dependent...sugars and grains mess up peoples hormones. Or that's the theory anyway, but it's working for me.

Breakfast would be one egg or 1 oz mozzarella cheddar and an apple, a protein bar and bit of natural product for an early in the day bite, spinach and 4 oz cooked chicken bosom plate of mixed greens with a vinaigrette dressing and low carb entire wheat tortilla for lunch, another bit of organic product at 3pm and after that supper 4oz of chicken or lean meat, two veggies, a starch and dairy, that is only a case yet I was eating ideal around 1200 calories per day in addition to 96 oz of water each day...
