Hey. I have recently started a journey to becoming a healthier person. I have a lot of weight to lose and staying motivated is the hardest part.
I recently joined livestrong.com. It is a free calorie/weight/fitness tracker. I've tried calorie tracking before and just got overwhelmed, but this site makes it super easy! Nearly every food item by brand, company, and etc. is already in the database so it only takes about 20 minutes (if that) a day to track your calories.
Also, you can enter your height, weight, and activity status and then select a weight loss goal (such as lose 1 pound a week or 2.5 pounds a week), and it will recommend how many calories you should stay under to meet your goal. Also, as you track your weight, it will factor that in and readjust daily so you are always staying under what you should.
I know this isn't really a buddy or anything, but it has been working WONDERS for me because you can add friends or make your food diary public, and those days I go crazy and splurge on DQ Blizzards or candy bars, I know I have to answer to my livestrong so it's a good way to check yourself. It will also calculate how many calories you burn from doing different activities such as light stretching or general dancing. I have already lost 8 pounds and I feel great! I have been making sure I use this tool every day.
