So it has been 3 months since I started my journey to lose weight. I am pleased to announce that I have crossed the 50 pound threshold, and I am up to 52 total pounds lost! It's a major milestone for me, and gives me the desire to keep going!

Good work Dude but they say a little at a time but you have done well as long as you feel good. 55 pounds I slowed down and with the shot days and Holidays upon us I'm slacking off, . But still staying away from Sweets my down fall

I actually did very well, considering that I had two Thanksgiving meals (one with family, the other at work). I made sure that I had fresh vegetables to snack on, took small samples (a tablespoon or two) of the "bad" food (stuffing, potatoes, biscuits, etc...), filled up on turkey, and I only ate one desert, and that was restricted to a half of a piece of sweet potato pie. I also ate until I was satisfied, instead of eating until I was stuffed. I am actually really proud of what I was able to do, as generally holiday meals mean "pile as much food on the plate as possible" and "stuff it all down"...

Congrats! Keep up the great work-it's paying off. On the otherhand, I really ate alot on Thanksgiving but I call it "Carb Loading"-it sounds so much better.

The "carb loading" sounds like fun, and that's what I have always done in years' past, but this year I didn't. I think it's due to having made is so far already, and knowing that I have so far to go, that kept me from gorging. I even lost 3 1/2 pounds last week, during the holiday week! Here's to hoping Christmas is just as successful!! :smiley58:
