Notice the pilings sheared off sticking up out of the water. There were pieces of the pier everywhere up and down the beach. Large pieces of it became battering rams into houses further north.

Sam and Omie's is fine. A few shingles off, but shoot, it's been there 66 years now! The Travelers Inn just to the north lost the whole roof.
