Anyone with access to news channels must have seen some of the devastation. It is obvious that from Cape Lookout to Baltimore things are unbelievable. I am a frequent visitor to OBX for over 20 years and there will be so much that will not be the same and places gone forever. It will take along time to clean this one up. It will take awhile for it to be able to support the visitors that so much want to return. OBX means so much to those who live there and those who come back each year. The reality here is that visitors can only hope for the best and those who live there will resolve to return things to what we all would like it to be. The sand will be pushed back toward the sea, homes will be repaired, streets repaved, and business back on track, a little OBX wind on the sand will start to hide the scars., the sea oats will sway in a gentler breeze.
