We just got back yesterday from Duck. We lost a wallet on the drive there, and one of the gas guzzling SUV's half way home. We had to fit 9 people in a Blazer for 6 hours. Aside from all of that, it was a great vacation. We were really worried about the weather forecast, but we ended up with plenty of decent weather. I don't think the traffic was all that bad, you just had to be patient with it. We are planning on staying 2 weeks next time. (1 week is just a tease!) We drove down to Hatteras Island. Wow! It had been a couple of years since I had been there, it is just beautiful. We swam where the Cape Hatteras lighthouse used to be.

We just got back from Duck also. Which neighborhood were you in? We stayed in Port Trinitie & were pleased with the rental house. The weather had us nervous too but it worked out- alot of storms at 3am but gone by the time we went out. Did you all get stuck in that major storm Sunday coming in? Luckily, we beat the storm and had alreay unpacked when it hit.The rental agency (Kitty Hawk) was great & let us check in early. Glad you had a great vacation also!

We were on Poteskeet Drive. It is right by the Scarborough Fair. Actually were walked there from our house several times. We came in right when it was starting to storm. Then part of our group went back out for food. It was still exciting to get there though.
