I'm such a loser LOL...I streamed the Rodanthe cam to a TV last night from 6 until 8 last night (hi tide) ...I can't remember when the entire camera frame was "foam" (zero sand) regardless of the view. So much water.

We actually dodged a HUGE bullet as Erin turned early, had she not...totally diff story.

Surprisingly, neither of the two condemned cottages north of the pier fell...THAT was amazing. Not sure what debris/flotsam might be in the water?

For those of you interested, our own Brett Barley does a pretty good job of explaining "why" we knuckleheads choose this part of the world to hang:

The debris was random lengths of of 2x's and odd sized chunks. Hard to see floating in the foam but the waves would stand them up a bit. I saw something like a septic coffin that would show itself when the sea retreated out far enough, or it could have been a fridge? I also saw a door in the wash.
