It took me 15 min to go from MP 4.5 to MP 3 in Kitty Hawk just now using the bypass. This is traffic "Leaving" the beach, not arriving.

Yah Tim, it started early today. At 7:45 I was headed up the Woods Road to turn right to head to Seascape for breakfast. When I saw the traffic backed up 1 mile before the light I did a U-turn at Covered Bridge rd and came back to KH rd. When I got to Sandtrap someone told me there was a wreck just past the light towards the Wright Bridge.

Normally before 8 on Sat the traffic is not bad. But a wreck changes everything.
