One and done for a week! Pretty day out here.

Unusually cool this morning. Not complaining!

Early morning, my mom’s deck under the pines, the beginning of a sweltering hot day, the spicey scent of Russian olive, coffee and a chocolate croissant…….

I wish I had a dang chocolate croissant! Instead we're over here running drills with Marine Fisheries and Choco-Chocolity Fire and Rescue.

If anyone was wondering that's Chocowinity Fire and Rescue. I just like to call em Choco Chocolity.....

Looks like a nice little town.

I think it looks like a great job....out on the water in a boat with paradise to look at. I've had a couple of jobs where I often said out loud that I'd rather be digging ditches than doing what I was doing.

Yeah. I tend to end up at HR having to deny any number of ridiculous, possibly liablous allegations of inappropriate comments and behavior in the workplace in jobs like that.

I am fed up with being a taxpayer. A nice flea dip bath and I'll be shaking off the blood suckers.

But at least the taxes will be on withdraws, not gross pay. And then there's a bunch of other taxes going down, such as fuel tax, sales tax on things I won't need or use anymore, sin tax on AB, tax on services that I can now do myself, etc.

When added up, I was working three days out of ten to cover all the taxes.
