Coming to KDH where Class and Trash was located. As a Sugar Land store. Personally I have only been in the candy store across from KDH McDonalds. Once was enough. The smell of candy was almost enough to put me into a diabetic coma.

Who would have thought there is so much money to make selling candy.

I think S&S / Sunsations does pretty well - these SKs, I'm pretty sure, are not their only biz. But, you would be floored by the margins on candy...better than jewelry/precious stones. I have a long time friend in another coastal community that started printing/selling tee shirts in the '70's...parlayed that into cottage rentals/a dive shop/ and selling trinkets and candy...he's now easily worth 9 figures.

Around us the only place we buy candy or chocolates is "Stutz". They have been around since 1938. My great Aunt and Uncle owned a small mom and pop candy store in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia from 1922 to 1944, then moved it to the Reading Terminal Market and closed it in 1973.

Remember when Stuckeys Shops used to be all along the interstates selling all that tacky junk and those perfectly awful pecan rolls? I'm not sure exactly when their decline began but it really wasn't a great loss.

I think there's still one of those on 460 in a gas station.

Local governments allowing these sugar traps has gotten of control. Greedy politicians will be the death of the once "small town" Outer Banks. Thank the stars that Hatteras Island is protected from over development.

It's actually very true.
What do you think all the vape stores are around for?
The government literally doesn't care as long as the taxes on that "sale" is paid.
