Is it just me, but it appears that both the Sunny Day Guide and the Visitors Guide did not publish this year. I had been a long time Advertiser in Sunny Day Guide but in my Fishing Charter business everything has gone to Internet Searches and Bookings. I guess I'm just old school, I still subscribe to two print Newspapers. Just wondering.

One of my merchant friends has said that advertising in both the Sunny Day and the Visitor Guide is crucial to the success of his business. Expensive but necessary. Both are widely read.

We just received ours in the mail from the reality company. I’m looking forward to thumbing through them this afternoon. We’ll be heading down to S Nags Head next Sunday.

Since so many PM's now use the Kaba locks the visitors don't come in the office to get a key like in the old days ( Thumbs up ) so we don't see the one we have going quickly like in the past. People would come in and grab one of every book in the racks and they would have to be replaced weekly. Today I bet we don't see 5 leaving the office a week. Renters seem to like them or know where to find them.

I just looked at the ones in our lobby and they say 2019 so we have not restocked in some time.

I received the Spring 2020 edition of the North Beach Sun in my PO Box last week! It was full of local ads!

The stand at the food lion in Avon gets replenished every other day. On friday evening they stack it 4 feet high with another bundle next to it for the saturday crowds.

I noticed that there were none in our rental house this year or last year. I didn't see any this year when we were out, but I only went to the grocery store once since we were trying to send only one person, and we didn't do our normal trips to the shops at Jockey's Ridge to shop either.

I do mostly use the internet to find things before our trip, but while we are there, I always liked to look through the Sunny Day guide and the other one to look for coupons or to find things we may not know about.

We always hit the realty company offices to get copies of their catalogs which we loved. In an odd way, it was easier to do a quick search with a paper catalog than with a website.
