Both are Great Events, I've been going to and/or participated in both for many years. The hour long Christmas Music and Dance Show before they light the Tree is reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell painting of a small town gathering. They usually have a big bonfire and several of the churches serve Hot Chocolate, Cookies and one usually serves a great Brunswick Stew. The Parade is relatively small but wonderful. I'll see you all there tonight. If anybody is interested I'll be playing with Just Playing Dixieland at the Duck Yuletide Festival and Tree Lighting Tomorrow, the 7th at 3 PM.

I was flirting with heading over to the Elizabethan Gardens for Winter Lights Saturday night. I am curious if anyone has any opinions on this event one way or another.

Don't know that we would go every year, but if you haven't seen the Winter Lights it's most definitely
worth a visit IMO. If you have kids or grandkids it's even better.

If anyone has any pics, I’d love to see some. I was hoping to make it down this year but couldn’t - Christmas crunch and all that.
Every year my mom tried to get me to come down to go with her. She really loved it. I should have made the time to go with Mom while I still had her.
