Rodanthe old Christmas

I am fascinated by the tradition of the Rodanthe old Christmas celebration, it looks like a really good time that reminds me of simpler days when Christmas was more about the simple things and less about how much money you spend on gifts. I’d love to try and make it down sometime to experience it, I can’t imagine how cool it is to see the appearance of the old buck after a day long celebration.

I’ve heard it’s a lot tamer than it used to be. I may have to check it out this time. A local guy was telling me stories from back in the day and how wild people got then. Especially the fights. Sounds like quite a trip!

Old Christmas falls on the Saturday after Epiphany (January 6, 2020) so that would make it January 11,2020.

I can totally dig the simplicity of gift giving. When someone asks me what I want for Christmas I try to make it easy with two of my favorite yule tide adjectives …1. expensive 2. luxurious
