I got unsorted head-on from them for $4/pound and they actually cut me a break on that because I bought so much. Since most of the weight is in the bodies and very little in the heads, I made out like a bandit. I popped the heads and rinsed in cold salted water and froze on baking sheets when I got home. The little ones went into a bag to be used in stuff like shrimp tacos and shrimp burgers, the bigger ones went into separate bags. I honestly don't care about mixed sizes. Turns out they all taste like shrimp.
And yes, they packed them up in my cooler and filled it to the top with ice. Even helped me get it in the back of my vehicle. Incredibly nice people, including the woman who I believe runs the place. It was really funny to see her with her hair and makeup perfect, while she paced back and forth in Wanchese slippers, driving a hard bargain with whoever was on the other end of the phone. I froze some of the tuna loin when I got home but kept enough for a big steak in a ziploc on ice till last night, when I seared it. It literally tasted like it had come right out of the water. And get this: 7 bucks a pound!
