My Asher. No paws in the sand for him this trip and the last trip before his big surgery . We head to MSU in December to determine when his surgery will be. Wish him well please. He turns 3 11/27 and has been dealt a very bad hand.
I'm so glad you and your family have enjoyed yourselves so much, though I am very sorry about your dog Asher. What is his diagnosis? I'm sorry if I've missed it in earlier posted. I know how much it is to love a best friend dog. I am hoping for the a full recovery. Very, very glad you all were together - with both dogs and and children on this vacation. Saw that rainbow this evening ourselves!!! A sign of hope.
Thanks all - We had a great trip but then again, every trip is great!
I forgot my camera so I had to snap pictures with my cell. Just not the same.
My guy has bilateral elbow dysplasia. He had bilateral surgery in April of 2018 to remove fragments from his joint. Unfortunately his right didn't improve and I found out a few weeks before this trip that he would need a total elbow replacement in the right soon after the first of the year. Was hoping to conservatively manage him through it for a few years before getting the replacement. The life of the replacement is 6-7 yrs and then it goes to metal on metal and causes friction/heat in the joint. Not many replacements have been performed. It's considered a salvage surgery and high risk but I am very hopeful it is successful! I have one of the pioneering surgeons for the replacement watching over him. I'm very confident he is in the best hands possible.
The double rainbow was beautiful and I was only able to capture 1/2 of it.
