Headed down in the morning

The wait is about over. We're packing up and will be heading out in the morning. Looks like we'll be driving through Nextor as it makes its way through. Rain and winds up to 45 mph according to the latest. Should make for some frisky driving. Hatteras for the week ahead! Anyone heard how the fishing is?

This was 4 years ago in Buxton.

Wow - what a gorgeous view!!!!

It has been beautiful down here - here's to Nestor passing through quicker than quickly without any issues for anyone!

Don't know about fishing down in HI, but it seems surf fishing up in South Nags Head has brought in a lot of trout, but don't quote me. Wink smiley

A VA ham radio guy was on the beach yesterday in KDH and said they caught 6-7 fish. He said they got a blue and red fish.

Have fun Bluefish. And best luck. It kinda always seems fishing is pretty good before a storm.

Got down just ahead of sunset Sunday evening. No problems on Hiway 12 all the way to Hatteras Village. There was a little standing water in places, but nothing to worry about. Quite a bit of sand over the road near our house at Hatteras Village, but the trucks were out a cleared it away yesterday. All of our haunts are open and business was booming as we came in. Oceana's was packed. Pop's parking lot was full. Yesterday we filled up on fish bites, fish sandwiches, and cold beer at Pop's. When we got in Sunday evening, we ordered a pizza at Rocco's. Lot's of damage there. Everything was on either side was walled up with plastic, just a walkway from the front door to the cash register. Pickup there only. They are closing at the end of this week for the season and to make repairs in order to be fully open next season.

We are on a very thin strip as you enter Hatteras Village. Ocean is across Hiway 12 in front of the house. Backyard is the sound. Yesterday was a gray Monday with a mist most all day. Today the sun is out and it's glorious. Some shots from the deck just before sunrise this morning from the deck.

Beautiful
So, Blue Fish, did you catch anything?
Been reading a lot of tackle shop reports that are showing quite a few catches in the NCBBA tourney
