UFOs or flares?

There is video footage on the news and even youtube from Sept 2019 of a man videotaping lights over the water while he was on a ferry on the Pamlico Sound, Im not good at links if anyone wants to add it here. you can google the video.

I have to go with flares. There is a Navy and Air Force bombing range near the red circle. Jets come there to make practice bomb runs and one of those could produce a stream of flares as the plane turns and climbs away. The noise of a jet over the engines of the ferry could mean he never heard a plane, or it was too far away.

These UFO video's always pop when someone films flares. The military is very active along the NC coast.

The last sentence of this article states "a spokesman from the military base confirmed to Fox 10 Phoenix that no aircraft from that base was in the area the day the video was posted."

Doesn't have to be aircraft that launched them. Also, there are multiple military bases that will do exercises in that area. It sounds like they only checked Cherry Point. The military also isn't always forth coming with there activities...

But yeah, I could be (seemly unorganized) UFO activity...
