Beautiful!!!!

How's your doggie doing? I thought I remembered you having some concerns about hardwood floors being put down in your house? Hope all is going well!

This is Asher. He turns a year 11/28. Sweet boy like Samson.

This morning was beautiful. Didn't last long though. Sun came up over the horizon and then the colors faded fast.

Well, the hardwood was as bad as I had expected. Super slick. He slipped twice walking to the bedroom (3rd floor master). He had never been on hardwood. I put down the 3 area rug pads I purchased...60x80 I believe. Barely covered it. We needed to make a trip to Walmart so my sister and her hubby went up Saturday evening. We just stayed in the bedroom until they got back. Picked up 4 runners, 2 area rugs, and a smaller rug. Made all the difference. He's able to navigate now so we are good. Thank goodness the elevator goes on floors 1-3. These steps aren't carpeted either. But anyway, we are doing well! Thanks for remembering and asking. I will say, before I ever rent another house, I'm going to ask the PM to ask the owner if they have any plans of upgrading to hardwood before my week. :-)

Poor guy! I'm glad you were able to work something out though.

Cryogirl,

How do you like the house (other than the hardwood floor issue)? I had to go back to your previous post about the house that had the link to it, but I realized that this the sister house to the one we stayed in this July. We were just south of you. The only difference I could see is that we did not have a pool. Ours was a VRBO rental and it was just awesome. The owners were great to deal with, and they spend the winter there, so they do a really good job of keeping up the house. First time we stayed in Rodanthe (and south of the Bonner) and we loved it. We booked it again for next year and can hardly wait.

Link to house in case you are interested for the future. There were some carpeted areas, but I'm guessing still not as many as you are looking for in a house.

Yes! We were commenting on the house over there and it being just like this one. We have a favorite house in Frisco that we rebook each year for Easter. Our 2nd trip we find other homes.. We won't be staying here again.

RE: Rodanthe Sunrise

Wonderful sunrise photos - and very cute dogs. Wink smiley I'm glad you're figuring out how to deal with those slick wood floors and hope your vacation goes smoothly without any missteps! Rainbow

Sorry - didn't answer your question about the house. House is very nice. Clean and well maintained. Only complaint is the kitchen...not stocked very well at all. Knives suck and we forgot ours of course. We cook all our meals so we are wishing for a nice skillet lol. I understand it's difficult to keep a well stocked kitchen but this one is really sub par. I think they are going to redo their deck because there was a guy here measuring so he could give a quote. If it did have carpet throughout, we would rent again.
