kittens, rainbows and butter roast

And now, for something completely different.......

I don't want to think about all the negative things... I want to remember and anticipate 'cation in Frisco - jumbo lump crab cakes, awesome sunrises on the beach, equally breathtaking sunsets on the sound. Osprey and Ibis, windsurfers and paddleboards. Fish Tacos at Buxton Munch, fried shrimp at Pops. Finishing the latest puzzle and starting a new one. Shopping at Connors and Risky Business.

I know, I sound like a broken record - I grew up in Kill Devil Hills and nothing today, is like it was then. But there is still so much to love and enjoy and wasting time bemoaning what isn't just takes away from what is.

So, stop, pet the kitten, check out the beautiful skies, and put a butter roast in the crock pot - Life is good!

Well, since it was at the end of the civil war. Big grin

No, seriously, I was there from 67-76 and other than July and August.... it was pretty lonely. My mother had a rule - you could come and visit us for the summer, but for every summer week you spent with us, you had to come back and spend an equal amount of time with us in Jan-Feb. Certainly kept the freeloaders down!
